TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach is an affordable Accor hotel located right along Kuta Beach, just minutes from Bali’s international airport. We stayed here for a spontaneous weekend trip to Bali in December 2025 and were looking for a hotel that offered good value, modern comfort, and a convenient beachfront location.

This review covers our full stay experience at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach, including service quality, room comfort, hotel facilities, dining options, location convenience, and whether this hotel is worth booking for a short Bali getaway. Here’s how our stay at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach turned out.

Why We Chose TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach

Having previously stayed at a TRIBE hotel in Phnom Penh and enjoyed the experience, choosing TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach felt like a safe and value-for-money option for this trip.

As this was an unplanned weekend getaway booked using Singapore Airlines’ Spontaneous Escapes deal, we did not want to overspend on accommodation. TRIBE’s reputation for affordable, design-led hotels with reliable service made this property a natural choice.

Service Experience at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach

TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach’s fantastic service began one week before our stay, when we received an email from them confirming that we had already made a prepayment, reminding us of the check-in and check-out times, as well as offering airport transfers. A few replies and responses later, we secured an airport transfer with the hotel, which then informed us that the driver would contact us directly via WhatsApp on the day of our arrival.

The day before our arrival, we received a WhatsApp message from the hotel reconfirming our stay dates. They further confirmed that they had upgraded our room from the entry-level TRIBE Comfort Balcony to the TRIBE Comfort XL Balcony. Regarding real estate, the hotel website states that the change is from a 28-square-metre room to a 32-square-metre room. I am definitely pleased about the larger room and have no complaints. This is a great start to our stay at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach!

On the day of our departure, we decided to extend our stay until the evening so we could laze in bed and leave straight from the hotel for the airport. We checked with the hotel staff around 11.30 am, or 30 minutes before check-out, how much it would cost to extend our stay till 6 pm. To our great surprise, the hotel staff conducted a quick check and smiled widely at us, informing us that they could grant us a late check-out at 6 pm. We did not need to pay anything to extend our stay. Wow! That must be the latest check-out timing we have ever received. We were really grateful to the hotel and the top-notch service, especially when staff are empowered to make decisions that benefit both the customers and the hotel, whenever possible. This is truly fantastic.

Throughout our stay, the hotel staff were always lovely and friendly. I could find no fault with them, and every aspect of the service was great.

Hotel Facilities at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach

Key facilities at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach include:

  • Rooftop infinity swimming pool overlooking Kuta Beach

  • Fitness centre with basic workout equipment

  • In-house spa in collaboration with Kamma Wellness

  • Rooftop restaurant and lobby lounge

TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach has the standard hotel facilities that most five-star hotels offer. They have a gorgeous rooftop infinity swimming pool that looks out towards the beach, and is also the perfect place to spot the sunset. Although the pool is a little small, it is great for soaking and relaxing while getting some sunshine on your body.

There is a fitness centre as well, and the hotel website shows that it has at least the basic equipment needed for a proper workout. Besides that, you will need to check it out for yourself!

Although it is not stated on the hotel website, TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach offers spa services. In collaboration with Kamma Wellness, there is an in-house spa that offers quite value-for-money treatments. Consider massages from a rejuvenation, Bali, or Javanese massage. If you feel fancy, definitely try their four-hand massage or a stress-reducing hot stone massage. Couple massages are also available! Massages are available daily from 9 am to 10 pm, with the last treatment at 9 pm. Do be sure to contact the hotel staff 1 hour before your preferred time to complete the booking. Bookings between 9 am and 4 pm are also entitled to a 10% discount. Unfortunately, we did not manage to try it out, as we had already decided on a massage outside and did not choose to do it at the hotel. Next time then!

Food & Dining at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach

TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach has one main restaurant, situated on the rooftop. This is where guests can head to for their buffet breakfast and other main meals. For those who would like to grab a quick bite or head for a sweet treat, they can do so at TRIBE Kitchen, the hotel’s lobby lounge, which also serves as the bar lounge.

During our time at the hotel, we went up to the rooftop once to check out the view and were quite amazed by the beautiful beach and sunset. The rest of the restaurant is sheltered, so you can enjoy your meal in peace.

We managed to squeeze in some time to grab a small cake during our final day before heading to the airport. We made use of the complimentary drinks provided by Accor and ordered a small strawberry cheesecake to share. It was pretty decent, and the alfresco-style lounge allowed us to enjoy the natural breeze. The cool weather in December probably helped, and it was quite relaxing to car-watch while it was raining outside.

If we are back at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach, we will be sure to enjoy a proper meal there. The restaurant looked beautiful and relaxing, and we would basically be guaranteed a good time there. Next time!

TRIBE Comfort XL Balcony Room Review

Open-concept TRIBE Comfort XL room at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach with bed and vanity sink
The open-concept TRIBE Comfort XL room at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach is modern and surprisingly spacious.

Our upgraded room, the TRIBE Comfort XL Balcony, measures 32 square metres. When you enter the room, you can immediately sense its spaciousness. The TRIBE Comfort XL Balcony room is ideal for couples or short stays, offering a comfortable layout, modern design, and good value for its size.

A nice slice of cake welcomes all TRIBE guests, and we saw a cute TRIBE cake on the table awaiting us. There was also a cute towel elephant lying on the bed, along with a signed welcome card from the staff of TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach. It was very welcoming of them indeed.

It is divided into two parts: the bathroom and the bedroom. The bathroom is on the side, and the room’s design made it such that no real doors separate the bathroom from the rest of your hotel room. Rather, there are sliding doors for privacy. If you are staying with a friend, good luck.

The bathroom’s counter also houses the room’s pantry, which includes a Nespresso machine, bottled water, and caffeine options. Toiletries such as toothbrushes, cotton buds, shower caps, and sanitary bags are also provided. A hairdryer is hung in a bag on one of the hooks. If you are all for transparency, feel free to brush your teeth while facing your partner, who is still lying in bed. If not, well, you can always brush your teeth in the shower! Other toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are provided by Aromele, a local brand in Indonesia. It does its job well, and we felt refreshed every time after showering and washing our hair. Kudos!

The bathroom has both a showerhead and a rainforest shower, so it is great for guests who might be fickle-minded. For couples with differing opinions, this is great. My wife prefers using the showerhead, while I love rainforest showers. Win-win!

The King-sized bed sits comfortably in the middle of the room, with plenty of space to spare between the wall-mounted television and the bed itself. In fact, you and your partner can do a dance in the space between the two if you so fancy. There is also a bed bench in front of the bed, and we know what it is mostly used for: putting clothes you want to wear again on it. The bed is very comfortable, and we will know. We basically lazed on the bed during our two-night stay in Bali!

A wardrobe is located by the side of the bed, beside the bathroom, and is a good place to hang clothes you wish to wear again. I did just that for my clothes, only to put them into the bag for washing when we reach home. Even though the hotel stated that the rooms come with a safe, I could not find one in this room.

There is technically a balcony for this room. However, it faces another building that was under construction when we were there. Having said that, I do not think it offers the best views. Hence, our curtains remained closed throughout our stay. More privacy anyway.

The television channels available on this hotel’s televisions were pretty good. There were quite a few English movie channels, and I recalled watching The Taking of Pelham 123 before catching a shower on our final evening. I was also quite glued to the television during our lazy Sunday afternoon, while my wife snoozed beside me. And I had to keep the volume to a minimum!

Overall, our room was functional and served us well. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay in Bali. More importantly, it was priced affordably and offered good value for money. If you need a trip overseas but are on a budget, TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach is definitely the place to be. It is near the airport, near lots of food options, near a major shopping mall, and massage places. Also, it is directly beside a beach! If we are ever in the Kuta Beach area again, this hotel will be high up on our shortlist!

Location: Is TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach Convenient?

Extremely. It is located right in the middle of Kuta Beach, making it an excellent option for travellers looking for a hotel near Bali’s international airport with beach access. You are always just a Grab ride away from any location in Kuta. Otherwise, you are a short walk from Kuta's largest shopping mall: Beachwalk Shopping Center.

The hotel is also right on the beach. This means that you can literally walk right up to the beach from your hotel room. It does not get any more convenient than that.

Is TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach Worth It?

For sure. TRIBE hotels are positioned as value-for-money properties targeting savvy travellers who want comfort without overpaying. In the case of TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach, it delivers even more than expected. At under S$100 a night for a spacious room in a prime beachfront location, this hotel offers excellent value — especially for weekend trips, short stays, or first-time visitors to Bali.

Frequently Asked Questions About TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach

Q1: Is TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach close to the airport?

A1: Yes. TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach is located about 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport under normal traffic conditions, making it especially convenient for short stays, late arrivals, or early departures. Even during peak hours, the journey is generally more straightforward than travelling further north into areas like Seminyak or Canggu. For travellers arriving in Bali after a long flight, the short transfer was a big plus for us.

Q2: Does TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach have a swimming pool?

A2: Yes — TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach has a rooftop infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

The pool is located on the rooftop and faces Kuta Beach, offering open sea views and memorable sunsets when the weather cooperates. It’s more of a relaxed, social rooftop pool rather than a large resort-style swimming area, which fits the hotel’s modern, lifestyle-focused concept. We found it ideal for winding down in the evening rather than spending an entire day poolside.

Q3: Is TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach good for couples?

A3: Yes, especially for couples looking for a stylish but low-key stay.

TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach suits couples who prefer a modern, design-forward hotel without the formality of a luxury resort. The rooms feel calm and thoughtfully designed, the rooftop pool adds a romantic touch at sunset, and the beachfront location makes evening walks easy. That said, it’s better suited for couples who enjoy urban beach vibes rather than secluded or ultra-quiet resorts.

Q4: What room type did you stay in at TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach?

A4: We stayed in the TRIBE Comfort XL room with a balcony.

This room category offered a spacious layout, a comfortable king bed, an open-concept vanity area, and a balcony for fresh air. The design felt modern without being cold, and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay without unnecessary extras. For travellers who value space and layout over traditional luxury touches, this room type strikes a good balance.

Q5: Is TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach worth the price?

A5: In our experience, yes — if you value location, design, and convenience.

TRIBE Bali Kuta Beach is priced competitively for a beachfront hotel so close to the airport, especially considering the modern rooms, rooftop pool, and overall atmosphere. While it doesn’t offer the extensive facilities of a large resort, it delivers strong value for travellers who prioritise comfort, style, and a good location over all-inclusive amenities. For short stays or stopovers in Bali, we felt it offered good value for the price.
