PROPAGANDA VIETNAMESE BISTRO
Picture
Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro is an authentic local eatery that focuses on popular Vietnamese food. Think of bánh mì, fresh spring rolls, and phở, and you get an idea of what to expect at this place.

When we were there, we had an opportunity to try out their breakfast set, which among the options, comes with a bánh mì of your choice with a cup of coffee. Needless to say, we had the famous Vietnamese coffee which was simply tasty. The bánh mì was also good, with fresh vegetables, fish cake, and the fish sauce completing the sandwich.

The baguette was also toasted before it was served, which means you get a warm crispy baguette to bite into. This is crucial to a good breakfast as the last thing you want is a stale bread for breakfast.

The décor of the eatery is also fantastic, staying true to its name as the Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro. You will find paintings that possibly reminds people of how it must have been like during the war, when high morale was needed among the local population. You will find tourists taking turns to have their pictures taken with the art, and it is indeed an unique and fun experience.

If you have an opportunity, be sure to head here for dinner as well, as they also serve 4-course meals that come with glasses of wine. The location is also spot-on, with Independence Palace just a short walk away. So, this is a good spot for either breakfast or lunch, just before or after your visit to Independence Palace!
