MUSEUM OF THE VIETNAMESE REVOLUTION
Picture
Located nearby from the National Museum of Vietnamese History, this museum focuses on the country’s struggles towards independence and eventual unification.

Numerous military artefacts, prize possessions, as well as war medals that were given to local heroes can be found. The different flags that were used during milestone periods of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s short history can also be seen.

One gets to see history from a Vietnamese’s point of view, and how they had to go through different struggles to achieve independence multiple times. Further, marvel at their achievements, of how they had to start from scratch, and build up successfully, their industries, which allowed Vietnam to survive economically after a long period of war.

At the end of it all, one gets to appreciate the issues Vietnam and her people have gone through, and how they were able to unite as one country, after going through so much.

INSIDER TIP:

The ticket to this museum is really a joint ticket with the National Museum of Vietnamese History.
Hence, make sure you visit both museums with one ticket! We suggest heading to the
National Museum of Vietnamese History first, simply to get a sense of events in a chronological order!
