Ho Chi Minh City Hall, famously known as the Hotel de Ville, is popular among tourists as a beautiful place to snap photos of.
Built in 1908, it was designed in a French colonial style, as with most older buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, and used as a hotel, the Hotel de Ville. Since 1975 after the reunification process, the complex was renamed, and became the city’s City Hall.
Although this building is not accessible to the public, being a government building, this does not stop people from taking countless pictures of it and with it. Located in front of City Hall is a statue of the country’s father, President Ho Chi Minh. From the memorial, it provides an excellent vantage point to capture both President Ho Chi Minh and City Hall. Whether it is in the day or at night, both represent great opportunities to take a picture or two.

The roads around City Hall are also different, with cobbled roads surrounding City Hall and President Ho Chi Minh instead of the usual asphalt concrete roads. This further beautifies the area, and makes it a wonderful place for visitors to spend some time taking pictures of the area!
